According to the Bridal Guide …

14% of brides are hoping for a honeymoon baby!

73% plan to wait a few years

13% don’t plan to have children at all.

Almost 4% got married so they could start their family right away!

58% want to be married to have children, but that’s not why they walked down the aisle.

27% don’t think it’s necessary to be married to have children.

Now my own personal wedding couple stats from all of my wedding clients (whose weddings I’ve already shot) …

13% already had children together

7% were pregnant at the time of the wedding

13% one spouse already had a child from a previous relationship

27% became pregnant within one year of their wedding

47% aren’t yet on the baby train … that I know of!

It will be fun to see how 2009 shapes up … I know I have a few wedding clients lined up that have one or more children together. I’ll try to recap this type of blog post every year, just to see how society changes!
