Wainwright, Alberta – Diana & Darcy’s wedding
Diana & Darcy tied the knot in a gorgeous, intimate ceremony at the Riverdale Mini-Park – located in the beautiful Battle River valley just north of Wainwright, Alberta.
This is how you keep random campers out of your wedding area … ha!

The Group C campsite was where it all happened.

Darcy’s boutonniere. The holder is from Michael’s – way easier to put on than the standard boutonniere pins!

The site was accessible by this little footbridge over a bubbling creek. So pretty!

Darcy, seeing Diana come down the aisle in her beautiful dress …

Everybody brought their own chairs!

They didn’t let go of each other at all during the ceremony!

Darcy putting Diana’s ring on her hand …

The moment before the first kiss!

Waiting for the candles to be re-lit … one of the hazards of an outdoor ceremony, it’s hard to keep the family candles lit!

Coming back down the aisle as Mr. and Mrs. Lambert

India was such a cute flower girl!

Beautiful ladies!

Whole wedding party. The maid of honor is Wendy (sister of the bride), bridesmaids are Rebecca (sister) and Vicki (cousin). The best man is Ryan (future brother-in-law) and the groomsmen are Darryl (brother of the groom) and Chris/Stu (friend).

I always have a blast working with the groom and groomsmen.

We headed to Wallace Park in Wainwright for a second photo location. And there *might* have been a stop at the liquor store. I’m just sayin’ ….

Sunshine is great for a wedding, but not so desirable for photos … so I had Chris, the groomsmen, create some shade for me. Thanks Chris!

I like to work with a longer lens for some of the couple shots – it gives the bride and groom a chance to talk and laugh and love. I have excellent hearing, though – here, Diana was telling Darcy how good he looked!

The cupcakes! I love the cupcake trend – I’m seeing it at a lot of weddings this year. Although, I love a good wedding cake, too!

Ring shot! When there’s time at the reception, I like to borrow the couples’ rings and the bride’s bouquet and do some macro work.

My traditional last-shot-of-the-night:

Congratulations Diana and Darcy! It has been my pleasure to work with you. Thank you for choosing Jennifer Jacula Photography!
