LPA October meeting
I was happy to host the Lakeland Photographers Association for our October meeting! We had 12 photographers out (plus my daughter and another photographer’s 13 week old baby boy) for the meeting yesterday.
Thanks very much to Kim Morritt of DragonHare, who came out to talk to us about the PPOC (Professional Photographers of Canada). Kim is the Membership Chair for PPOC Alberta, and also happens to be from Mannville. Yay for east central Alberta photographers!
Here are a few photos from the meeting …

Nummy pie!

Ashley Hempel. I had to try for a better shot. I got a cheesy fake smile instead.

Melissa Styba, enjoying the pie. Sheri, holding Melissa's baby.
This was our activity for the meeting. The lovely Crystal Sevigny brought us this idea – we all brought 7-8×10 images and Crystal gathered them and distributed them so we wouldn’t know who the images belonged to. Then we got sheets with a bunch of positive keywords on them, and we went around to each group of images and chose the three keywords we thought best described those images. It was fun! Thank you Crystal for organizing everything!

Photographers are powered by caffeine. Yes - that's TWO coffee makers.

A little less pie than we started out with.

My daughter, Caitie, and my assistant, Patricia Burak, having a moment.
