Studio update # … whatever number we’re at!
First, a correction: the house was actually built in 1928, not 1930 as I’ve been writing all along. My bad. Our barn was built in 1930 and I got my years screwed up along the way somewhere. Considering my frequent exposure to lead paint, it’s no wonder …
I am buzzing right along now and am almost ready to paint the two big rooms! Big props to my husband, my brother Scott and my brother’s friend Travis, who – when bribed with pie – moved the two big old deep freezes out of the studio on Sunday. Thanks guys! I was finally able to sand the wainscotting today, and finish prepping the ceiling in the meeting room.
Here’s my pretty main door that is all painted and rehung.

You’re now expecting to see some deep-freezeless photos, right? Wrong. Didn’t get around to taking any today! But I have some exterior pictures from a few days ago. My dear husband has been pressure washing the siding for me – now that haying is done – so we’ll be painting the outside soon, too. If we can ever get a few nice days in a row!
NAKED WOOD ALERT! Teehee … I can never pass up a good dirty innuendo!
